The Minister of State for Defence, Bello Matawalle, is reportedly set to conduct the wedding ceremonies of nine of his children on the same day.
The former Zamfara State Governor, who is married to four wives—Aisha, Balkisu, Fatima, and Dadiya—is said to have scheduled the mass wedding for February 6, 2026, at the Central Mosque, Abuja.
The development became public after a general wedding invitation circulated online. The invitation, shared by Dan Jafaru Aleengoo Turakee, announced the upcoming ceremonies involving several of Matawalle’s sons and daughters.
A separate invitation further revealed that the former Speaker of the Zamfara State House of Assembly, Hon. Nasiru Mu’azu Magarya, will wed Nana Bello Matawalle.
Other listed unions include Ibrahim Sahabi Liman, who will marry Farida Bello Matawalle; Yazid Shehu Dan Fulani, identified as the groom of Safiya Bello Matawalle; and Umar Ibrahim Danmaliki, who is set to marry Aisha Bello Matawalle.
