Special Spesh, the hype man for Afrobeat musician Davido, has responded to the Grammys results, which saw the artist lose all three categories.
Davido, an Afrobeat performer, lost all three Grammy categories last night, sparking varied reactions.
Davido received nominations for Best Global Album for his newest album, “Timeless,” Best African Performance for his song “Unavailable,” and Best Global Music Performance for “Feel.”
However, Davido lost all three categories.
Responding to Grammy’s results, the hype man, Special Spesh, took to his page to trash Grammy. According to him, whites attempt to take control of whatever they view as successful, including the Afrobeat genre.
He went on to say that they will not be disappointed by the results and will not let Grammy dumb down Afrobeats or anything from Africa.
