Israel DMW, the logistics manager to Afrobeats superstar Davido, whose real name is David Adeleke, has taken action over a fake Twitter (X) account posing as him.

He raised concerns after discovering that the impersonating account had even been verified, a development that sparked fears about potential harm to his image and credibility.

Taking to Instagram, Israel shared a screenshot of a post made by the fake account, drawing public attention to the issue.

Known for his strong loyalty to Davido and his frequent commentary on matters related to the singer, he warned that the impersonator’s actions could mislead people if left unchecked. He also appealed to Nigerians to help report the account before it escalates into a bigger problem.

“Dear Nigerians, please help me report this Twitter page before it lands me in trouble one day. I still don’t understand why Twitter would verify a fake account,” he wrote.

His post quickly gained traction online, with many expressing disbelief that an impersonation account could receive verification.

Several others showed support, pointing out that impersonation has become an increasing challenge for celebrities and public figures on social media platforms.
