In a viral video currently circulating online, the Timeless crooner looked back on the years between 2007 and 2009, when he lived in Atlanta, Georgia. Despite coming from a wealthy background, Davido said he was eager to be around the stars of that era and didn’t mind doing the little things just to be in their space.
“In Atlanta, 2007 or 2008 or 2009… In my father’s house, I was freestyling for Don Jazzy and D’Banj,” he said.
“He sent me to go and buy McDonald’s with my papa car Rolls Royce.”

In other news, Two TikTokers, Saheed Jamiu Osama and Uyime Godwin Udoekwere, have been remanded in custody for allegedly accusing Omowunmi Aloba, widow of the late singer Mohbad, of murder.
The pair were arraigned before Justice Ibrahim Kala of the Federal High Court in Lagos on charges of conspiracy, cyberstalking, and defamation.
Their arrest followed a viral protest where they held placards reading, “Wunmi Killed Mohbad! Period! E No Go Better For Wunmi.”
The court has scheduled their prosecution for September 25, 2025, and they will remain in Ikoyi Correctional Centre until the case is resolved.
