Social media activist Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VDM, has unveiled the official logo of his newly launched Ratel Movement.
The outspoken campaigner went quiet for about a day after posting a video reacting to the tragic death of Phyna’s younger sister, Ruth. In the clip, he condemned bloggers who were using Ruth’s passing to generate content instead of uniting to speak against the destruction caused by a Dangote truck.
Sharing the movement’s logo on social media, VDM described Ratel as the “fourth arm of government.” The emblem displays a ratel, also called a honey badger, with its jaws wide open—an animal native to parts of Africa, Southwest Asia, and the Indian subcontinent.
His return online was met with excitement from supporters, who expressed relief after his short silence. Nollywood star Rita Edochie, a consistent supporter of VDM, encouraged him to amplify his message, saying she was displeased with false narratives circulating about him.
Another admirer, Jojo of Lele, filled the comments with fire emojis, while other fans pointed out that VDM’s absence was simply out of respect for Phyna’s late sister, who lost her life in a tragic accident in Auchi, Edo State. Many also commended him for his resilience and vowed continued support for the Ratel Movement.
