Daddy Showkey Reveals Pasuma Fed His Family for Three Years After Accident

Nigerian music legend, Daddy Showkey, has opened up about a difficult chapter in his life and the unwavering support he received from Fuji icon Alabi Pasuma.

Speaking during a live performance at a celebrity event where Pasuma joined him on stage, Daddy Showkey emotionally recounted how Pasuma came to his aid after a near-fatal accident in 2007 that left him bedridden for years.

In the now-viral video, the veteran singer revealed that the accident kept him hospitalized for three years, during which time Pasuma consistently supported his family with food and care.

“He was the only one who stood by me,” Daddy Showkey said, describing Pasuma as his only true friend in the entertainment industry. He lamented that while many of his colleagues abandoned him in his time of need, Pasuma never turned his back.

According to Daddy Showkey, some fellow entertainers even refused to help when he visited their homes to ask for support highlighting just how rare and meaningful Pasuma’s loyalty was during his recovery journey.

“You see, this man, he stood by me during bad times and good times. Many people didn’t see me in public or sing for years because I had an accident in 2007. I was in the hospital for three years. Pasuma was the one taking care of my family. I can never forget him in my life.

“After I recovered, I visited others but they didn’t give me the opportunity to see them not to talk of helping. When I got to their houses they would tell me that they were not around even when they were inside the house.”
