A student of a Nigerian university has allegedly been left unable to walk after a violent attack by a cultist who reportedly broke her spine for refusing to give out her phone number.

The shocking incident was brought to public attention via a post on X (formerly Twitter) by user @VivianRora, who identified the victim as her cousin.

Vivian explained that the young woman declined to share her contact details with a cultist, which led to a brutal assault that caused a severe spinal injury.

In her words:

“My cousin, a student of a Nigerian institution, was brutally attacked by cultists. They broke her spine, and since that day, she hasn’t been able to stand.”

“Her life changed forever. And all this happened because she refused to give them her number. I detest cultism and cultists!”

Her post has since drawn widespread attention, with many users reacting with shock and outrage in the comment section. Social media users condemned the attack and called for urgent action against cult-related violence in educational institutions.
