Celebrity businessman and nightlife mogul, Cubana Chief Priest, has warmed hearts online after celebrating his wife, De Angels, on their 10th wedding anniversary. In a viral video, he also praised his mentor and boss, Obi Cubana, for teaching him the true meaning of respect in marriage.
The socialite took a moment to call out those who wish negativity on marriages, emphasizing that unity and love remain his biggest prayers for his family.
“Shame on them because we no go ever fall. Na so me and my wife go dey together do my son wedding. That’s all I wish for — togetherness and love,” he said.
Reflecting on lessons learned, Cubana recounted a personal incident from December 2016. At the time, he was under intense business pressure while his wife was in the United States giving birth to their son, Donald. During a phone call with his wife, he reportedly responded rudely, unaware that Obi Cubana was listening.
“One day we were doing checks and balances, pressure was so high and my wife was calling me. I told my wife to stop calling my phone. Chairman asked me, ‘Who did you just speak to?’ I said my wife,” he recalled.
Obi Cubana then confronted him, saying: “Are you okay? How can you talk to your wife like that in front of me? How do you expect me to respect your wife if you don’t respect her?”
Cubana Chief Priest revealed that Obi Cubana’s words instantly shifted his mindset. “He told me never to talk to my wife like that in public. Your wife is my wife, so if you talk to her like that, it doesn’t make sense,” he said.
Even years later, the advice continues to resonate with him. Amid ongoing paternity allegations involving Hellen Atti, the businessman stressed that success is meaningless without a stable home.
