A Nigerian man has shared his journey of self-discovery, explaining how embracing his identity as a woman has helped him amass a large following on social media.
Reflecting on his childhood, he revealed, “Ever since I was young, I loved being a woman. When I bathed with my sisters, it would hurt because I saw myself that way. I would look at them and wonder, ‘God, why didn’t you make me like this?’”
He emphasized that his wish to express himself was never about copying others or following trends.
“I’ve wanted to be a woman since I was a kid. Even in school plays, I always took the role of the wife. I didn’t even realize it consciously at the time,” he said.
The significant change, he shared, happened when he fully embraced who he is. “Once I claimed my identity, I went from zero to 3,000 Facebook followers in less than eight months. And that’s just Facebook TikTok is another level entirely.”
His story has ignited online conversations, with many praising his bravery in living authentically despite societal expectations.
He also questioned traditional notions of gender, stating, “A man is not a piece of clothing. If he were, why hasn’t your husband bought a Rolls-Royce?”
The man’s revelation generated mixed reactions on social media, ranging from surprise and admiration to humor.
