COVID 19: FG postpones National Sports Festival in Edo State

The Federal Government of Nigeria has approved the postponement of the National Sports Festival Edo 2020.

Sunday Dare, the Minister of Youth and Sports Development FGN confirmed postponement on Twitter on Tuesday, following a briefing with President Muhammadu Buhari and the Minister of State for Health, Adeleke Mamora.

He wrote: Following the briefing of Mr. President from myself and the Minister of State for Health on COVID19, Mr. President approved the immediate postponement of Edo Sports festival to a future date.’

This comes after the Lagos State Ministry of Health confirmed a third case of coronavirus in Nigeria.
