Cosmas Maduka Denies Targeting Cubana Chief Priest in Viral “Money na Water” Comment

  • Coscharis Group founder Cosmas Maduka has clarified that his remarks criticizing the “money na water” mindset were not aimed at Cubana Chief Priest.
  • In a message shared online, Maduka said he respects Cubana’s views and meant only to address Nigeria’s growing materialistic values.
  • Responding, Cubana defended his philosophy, insisting that in the digital age, “visibility is the new currency” and “content is digital equity, not noise.”

Founder of Coscharis Group, Cosmas Maduka, has clarified that his earlier comments on Nigeria’s value system were not directed at Cubana Chief Priest, amid the ongoing “money na water” debate.

In a WhatsApp message shared by Stephen Akintayo, Maduka said:

“I have just discovered also the above, even though I never met him nor attended any of his events, and if I did, I cannot remember. I never had him in mind when I said what I believed was a wrong value system we have embraced. I respect his views because he is entitled to his opinion, and I wish him the best of life. May God bless him.”

His clarification followed backlash from a viral video where he criticised the culture of flaunting wealth, saying he had never met a truly rich person who used the phrase “money na water.”

Responding on Instagram, Cubana Chief Priest countered that Maduka’s views were outdated, arguing that “visibility is the new currency” and that in today’s digital economy, “content is digital equity, not noise.”

In other news….. Actor and businessman Bobby Maris, husband of Nollywood star Uche Ogbodo, has expressed his support for women who opt for cosmetic surgery.

In a video that has been widely shared on Instagram, Maris encouraged women to overcome their fears and consider body enhancement procedures, emphasizing that such surgeries can boost confidence and enhance beauty.

He remarked that there is nothing wrong with women choosing surgical methods to improve their bodies.

Maris said:

“If you can afford it, go for it. Face your fears and be bold, strong, beautiful, and attractive!”

His statements followed his wife Uche Ogbodo’s announcement that she had undergone a 360 Lipo procedure, a surgery designed for fat reduction and body contouring.

Ahead of the operation, Uche took to Instagram to ask her fans for prayers. In a video, she appeared cheerful, even dancing in her hospital gown to Lawrence Oyor’s gospel track Favour.

She wrote:

“It’s happening today, my Lipo 360 surgery. Please say a little prayer for me. I’m not scared! I trust my doctors, and it will end in praise! Amen.”

This isn’t Uche’s first cosmetic procedure. Earlier this year, she had another liposuction session aimed at enhancing her body shape.

The actress has previously shared the challenges of dealing with postpartum body changes and explained how these procedures helped her regain confidence.
