  • Vector defines the church as the community of people rather than a structure.

Nigerian rapper Vector Tha Viper has opened up about why he chooses not to attend church, explaining that his faith is not tied to a building.

In a recent episode of the BTC Podcast, Vector shared that he sees the church as the people who make it up, rather than a physical structure. He emphasized that, according to the Bible, God values the condition of the human heart above all else.

“I don’t view church as a building. For me, church is about the human being. The Bible shows that God looks at your heart, not the walls you worship in,” he stated.

Vector also referenced a passage attributed to Thomas, highlighting a spiritual perspective: “If those who guide you say the kingdom is in the sky, the birds get there first. If they say it’s in the waters, the fish reach it first. The kingdom is within you and around you. By knowing yourself, you understand that you are children of the living Father. Ignorance of yourself leads to living in poverty, and that poverty becomes part of you.”

He added, “If the kingdom existed only in a church, then the altar would matter more than the individual. The kingdom is a collective of believers, but salvation is personal it comes from your own connection with God.”

Despite his personal stance, Vector clarified that he respects those who attend church and follow various Christian denominations.
