Dammy, a Nigerian chef, has reacted after Guinness World Records disclosed the reason for their silence on her 120-hour cook-a-thon attempt.
GISTLOVER previously stated that Dammy did not submit an application to the record authority before attempting to beat her compatriot Hilda Baci’s cooking record.
In response, the Ekiti Chef stated on her official Facebook page that her 120-hour cook-a-thon intended to test her abilities rather than to break any records. She conveyed her joy at not giving up.
Her words;
“I stated this earlier that I embarked on this journey to test my capability not for any GWR..
l am happy that I cooked for 120 hours. I am proud that I never gave up”
Dammy began to make headlines after announcing the start of her cook-a-thon in Ekiti state.
Despite being slammed heavily by Nigerians for copying Hilda Baci’s idea, the chef persevered until she finished the task.
Chef Hilda Baci also endorsed Chef Dammy’s cook-a-thon via her Twitter handle.
Guinness World Record did not comment on Chef Dammy’s attempt throughout the duration of her cooking.
