This amount is supplementary to the ₹1 crore (approximately ₦177.6 million or $85,000) support already announced by Tata Sons, the parent company of Air India.
The final insurance payouts for passengers will be determined in accordance with the Montreal Convention of 1999.
Moreover, the airline has promised to provide ongoing support to the survivor and the families of the victims during this difficult time.
