  • Canadian singer Celine Dion made her first public appearance at the 66th Grammy music awards on February 4, causing online buzz.
  • The 55-year-old singer has withdrawn from her singing career due to a rare neurological disorder called Stiff person syndrome.

Popular Canadian singer Celine Dion has gone viral on the internet since she made her first public appearance at the 66th Grammy Music Awards on Sunday, February 4, at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California.

Following her diagnosis of stiff person syndrome, a rare neurological disorder, the 55-year-old music icon decided to give up singing.

She canceled and rescheduled her gigs for 2024 because to “Stiff Person Syndrome,” a disease that causes muscle stiffness and spasm, notably in the muscles utilized for singing. Visibly moved, Celine Dion entered the stage accompanied by her son Rene-Charles in a video that captured the events leading up to the musical performance.

As she walked to present American singer Taylor Swift with the album of the year award for her award, Midnights, she received standing ovations from her followers and loves.

She began her address by saying, “Thank you all… I love you right back… When I say that I’m happy to be here, I really mean it from my heart”.

“Those who have been blessed enough to be here at the Grammy Awards must never take for granted the tremendous love and joy that music brings to our lives and to people all around the world.”

“And now it gives me great joy to present a Grammy Award that two legends Diana Ross and Sting presented to me 27 years ago. These are the outstanding nominees for album of the year.”
