Nollywood actress and devoted prayer warrior Tonto Dikeh has stated that she still prefers to be called “King Tonto Dikeh”, even after reconciling with her ex-husband, businessman Olakunle Churchill.
In a recent interview with journalist Stella Dimoko Korkus, Tonto clarified the meaning behind the “King” in her name, explaining that it is often misunderstood on social media.
“My name remains King Tonto. To clear up any confusion, a lot of people think the ‘King’ is a title. It’s not about masculinity, disrespect, or challenging male ego. It’s actually a name I chose for my son. I love it, it’s meaningful to me, and it will stay,” she explained.
The actress, who is a mother, also opened up about her renewed commitment to her Christian faith, emphasizing that this time her relationship with God will be enduring.
Discussing the idea of launching a prayer channel, Tonto, who claims to have the gift of healing and prayer, said she would only pursue it if guided by God.
“At this moment, I’m just asking God to lead me. If He instructs me to start an online prayer session, I will. I see myself as just a vessel,” she shared.
She also addressed rumors that her prayer sessions were a means of earning money.
“I didn’t turn to God for financial gain. I’m already wealthy. I didn’t seek Him to become more famous; I’m already well-known. I approached God for survival and to start afresh,” Tonto clarified.
Regarding marriage, the actress revealed that her primary focus remains on her faith.
“For now, my goal is to follow Jesus and strengthen my relationship with Him. I want to build a faith that cannot be shaken. My heart is already full of love for God,” she said.

@obehinoir:”To be honest, it’s nice to see Tonto make changes. I don’t follow Pastor Jerry or anything but if this makes her have peace then it’s all good. It’s a good thing she has made peace with her son’s dad. Sometimes having issues with people isn’t healthy. My thing is as long as she is happy then it’s all good. Peace is so important in life.”
