“Buy from the Landlady Only”- Landlord Bans Tenants from Buying Food Outside Compound

  • A landlord has ordered tenants in his building to buy all food and household items only from the landlady, warning that anyone who disobeys the rule will be asked to vacate the apartment.
  • The notice also introduced a midnight curfew and other strict regulations governing conduct within the compound.

A landlord has sparked reactions after issuing a strict directive requiring tenants in his building to purchase all food and household provisions only from the landlady.

According to an official notice titled “Mandatory House Rules and Regulations,” tenants are prohibited from buying such items outside the premises.

“Tenants are not permitted to purchase such items outside, as these goods are already made available within the house,” the notice stated.

The landlord explained that the rule was introduced to ensure proper management and order within the compound.

The notice also included several strict guidelines regarding daily conduct within the building.

Among them is a curfew stating that the main gate will be locked daily from 12:00 midnight to 5:00 a.m., during which no tenant or visitor will be allowed to enter or leave the premises.

Crowded gatherings, loitering, smoking anywhere on the property, fighting, and excessive noise were also banned.

The landlord warned that tenants would be held fully responsible for any security breach caused by negligence.

He further stressed that the rules must be obeyed without exception.

“Any tenant who fails or refuses to comply with these regulations shall be required to vacate the apartment immediately without further notice,” the notice added.

Tenants were advised to review the regulations carefully, as continued residence and payment of rent would be taken as full agreement to comply with the rules.
