A Nigerian businesswoman has cried out on social media after being scammed of ₦509,000 by someone pretending to be an Indomie supplier.
Sharing her ordeal on TikTok via her handle @smile_wholesalefoods, the woman recounted how the incident unfolded at her shop. According to her, a woman visited her store, claiming to work with Indomie and pleaded with her to support the business by purchasing several cartons of noodles.
After some discussion, the vendor agreed. Not long after, a delivery bus arrived with the noodles, reportedly under the woman’s directive. Feeling assured, the businesswoman transferred ₦509,000 to the woman, who confirmed receiving the payment.
However, the situation took a shocking turn when the delivery driver disclosed that his actual boss—the real supplier hadn’t received any money. It became evident that the woman was an impostor with no ties to the Indomie company.
Devastated, the vendor shared her frustration online:
“This is the reason I will never, ever in my life… no matter what you want to buy, I’ll never do payment on delivery.”
She added: “They just scammed someone. Their bus is still here but someone has already collected the money. I can’t do anything because I’ve paid.”
She also revealed: “Someone chatted me up claiming to be an Indomie supplier and said the company gave her a target of three trucks.”

The person has the right to pack her market back because she did not confirm your money and if you feel like stopping her, she will tell you to provide the receipt and if they see that her name is not on it, then she wins the case 🌚.”
Aura: “But why didn’t you collect the account details from them supplying from you physical instead of who was charting you online? this is why they always do.”
Scientist Yoruba: “Most people don’t get it here, the company has been scammed not this woman, This woman doesn’t ordered from the company but the middleman did, so she has no business with the company directly.
