A Nigerian businesswoman has shared an emotional video accusing her staff of diverting over ₦10 million from her fertility business.
The woman, who runs @hannabelfertility on TikTok, said she discovered the fraud during a routine record check. Heartbroken, she lamented how she treated her employees like family.
“₦10 million so far, that’s what I’ve checked and seen that they’ve squandered from my business despite the fact that I don’t owe salary,” she cried. “I pay even before the end of the month sometimes… I took them like my sisters and family. They came to my house, slept there, ate there, and yet they did this to me.”
She revealed that the case had been reported to the police and that the suspects were being interrogated. “As we speak now, they’re all in the police station answering questions. I had to seize all their phones… Let me even go through them and see what has been happening,”
“They want to run me down. Please, I’m begging you people, I don’t know what else to do again,” she said tearfully.
Her video has sparked massive reactions online, with many sympathizing with her and warning business owners to be more cautious when dealing with employees.
