A Nigerian cleric, Apostle Gideon Isah, has sparked widespread reactions online after issuing a cautionary message to Afrobeats superstar Burna Boy, urging him to strengthen his personal security following what he described as a divine revelation about a possible attack.
According to the pastor, he claimed to have seen a vision in which the singer was targeted in a nightclub on Lagos Island. He warned that the alleged attack involved acid concealed in a drink and directed at the artist while he was seated inside the venue.
His warning comes shortly after Burna Boy was reportedly involved in a physical altercation with DJ Tunez, Wizkid’s official DJ, at Obi’s House nightclub in Lagos. The incident later led to a temporary ban on Burna Boy’s music by the Nigerian DJ Association and also triggered reactions from Wizkid on social media.
Apostle Isah shared the alleged prophecy via a video posted on his Facebook page and X account, which quickly went viral and generated mixed reactions across social media platforms.
In the video, he described a scene where Burna Boy allegedly walked into a nightclub and sat on a red couch located on the right side of the venue. He further claimed that an unidentified individual approached the singer with a red cup containing acid disguised as a drink and poured it on him.
He also stated that although the attacker would be apprehended, the damage would already have been done. The cleric added that the event was “imminent” and could occur on a Saturday before the end of April 2026.
“God opened my eyes and I saw something about a man called Burna Boy. There is a musician called Burna Boy. I saw where someone poured acid on him. You know acid? I saw where they bath him with acid in a nightclub in Lagos, on the island. This is like a club. I saw where he walked into a club. And he was sitting down at the right hand side of the club on a red couch. And I saw someone with a cup of acid. He was carrying it in a red cup like a drink. And the moment it got close to where he was, he poured it on him. And they apprehended the person. But by then the damage had been done. And this thing is about to happen on a Saturday. And it’s about to happen before the end of this month. The plan has been made. Payments have been made.”
