Nigerian artist Damini Ogulu, widely known as Burna Boy, has made a significant financial contribution to social media commentator Martins Vincent Otse, popularly called VeryDarkMan (VDM).
The news emerged after VDM posted a video on his Instagram, where he confirmed that Burna Boy donated ₦150 million to his non-governmental organization, the Martins Vincent Otse Initiative.
In the video, VDM also shared bank receipts as evidence of the transaction.
The documents revealed that the funds were transferred from Burna Boy’s brand company, Spaceship Collective, to the NGO’s account at Zenith Bank.
With this ₦150 million donation, Burna Boy has exceeded Don Jazzy’s widely noted ₦100 million contribution from October 2024.
This latest donation adds to Burna Boy’s previous support, which reportedly included $145,000 given to VDM in December 2025.
VDM explained that the funds would be used to assist with the release of incarcerated individuals and to cover medical expenses for underprivileged Nigerians.
