President Muhammadu Buhari’s son, Yusuf, is set to marry Zarah, the Emir of Bichi’s daughter. Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, reportedly led the representatives of Mr Buhari to Kano on Sunday, where they sought the hands of Zarah in marriage for the younger Mr Buhari.
The couple had met each other in the UK. Mr Buhari schooled in the European country, while his fiancee is studying architecture there.
After the traditional marriage rites, the Emir of Kano Aminu Ado Bayero approved the couple’s marital union ahead of the wedding day.
Personalities present at the ceremony included Governor Badaru Abubakar of Jigawa, Governor Babagana Zulum, Kano Deputy Governor Nasiru Gawuna, and ex-Governor Abdulaziz Yari.
Last September, President Muhammadu Buhari’s youngest daughter, Hanan, married Nigeria politician Sani Sha’aban son, Mohammed Turad. In 2016, Zahra Buhari married Ahmed Indimi, son of oil billionaire, Muhammadu Indimi in Daura.
