A Nigerian woman, Kattim Telya, has been thrown into mourning after her fiancé, Selnan Simon Kamven, died in a motor accident just four weeks before their scheduled wedding.

The couple’s wedding was set to take place on December 29, 2025, in the Langtang North Local Government Area of Plateau State.

Kattim Telya expressed her grief on Facebook, writing:

“So it’s true. Daddy, I am still waiting for your call,” she wrote on Wednesday, December 3.

Friends, family members, and acquaintances quickly took to Facebook to mourn the deceased and offer condolences to the grieving fiancée.

Bernice Chumle recalled their last contact: “Selnan it has been years that I didn’t see or hear from you but just a little time you chatted me on Facebook and u invited me to ur wedding and for a little while time again I saw your wedding pictures are written with RIP I couldn’t believe it !!! May your soul continue to rest in perfect peace the Lord (amen)may God Almighty comfort the family and the entire Ndanga village.”

Tyem Ponven offered support to the fiancée: “What a wicked world. Speechless, Dear My bestie Kattim Telya may God give you the heart to bear this lost my dear. we can’t question God he knows everything. Please accept my condolences, Besty.”

Danjuma Benjamin also condoled with Telya: “Dear Kattim Telya, may God give you heart to bear this great loss, may He comfort you in a special way. Rest in peace brother.”
