Comic actor Baba Ijesha, whose birth name is [insert real name], has sparked renewed attention following his recent podcast interview, where he recounted his encounter with crossdresser Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, during their time in prison.
During the conversation with Biola Adebayo, Baba Ijesha clarified that, contrary to media reports suggesting that Bobrisky stayed in a hotel while detained, the crossdresser was actually housed in the same prison cell.
He described seeing Bobrisky visibly upset, crying and rolling on the floor upon his arrival. Despite Bobrisky’s controversial public image, Baba Ijesha emphasized that he found the crossdresser to be dependable and trustworthy.
The actor also drew attention when he spoke fondly of Bobrisky’s mother, sharing that she would regularly bring meals to the inmates. According to Baba Ijesha, she prepared food for nearly 1,000 prisoners and was often in tears while doing so.
“When Bobrisky got to the cell, he was crying and rolling on the floor. It’s not true that he was taken to the hotel. Although he always behaves like a cartoon, he is actually a very reliable person. Whenever food was brought for him, he would share it with other prisoners
It was his mum who used to bring food. She would cook for about 1000 prisoners and was always crying. All the female outfits Bobrisky wears, he uses to make money. He is a very kind person. I am now the ambassador for prisoners,” Baba Ijesha said.
