Popular Nigerian car dealer Ikechukwu Ogbonna, widely known as IVD, has become the center of online discussions following reports of his recent arrest.

According to a report by blogger Stella Dimoko Korkus, shared via Instagram on Saturday, August 2, the businessman was apprehended at the airport on Friday, August 1, while attempting to travel to Qatar.

The blogger alleged that the arrest is connected to the ongoing domestic violence case involving his late wife, Bimbo, which is still before the court. She claimed that IVD had been restricted from leaving the country until the legal proceedings are concluded.

“Sources say the arrest is linked to the domestic violence case concerning his late wife Bimbo, which is still in court. He isn’t permitted to travel outside Nigeria until the matter is resolved,” the blogger stated.

Reports further suggest that IVD will remain in custody until Monday, August 4, 2025, when he is expected to be formally charged in court.

In addition, the blogger alleged that IVD’s fiancée, social media personality Blessing CEO, confirmed the arrest and has been seeking assistance on his behalf.

Interestingly, despite the reports of his arrest, Blessing CEO dropped hints about an upcoming wedding. She shared photos of herself in traditional bridal attire with the caption:

“Bride-to-be… Saturdays are for weddings.”

The post has stirred confusion online, leaving many questioning the authenticity of the arrest reports.
