Muhammadu Buhari: Biography, Life, and Legacy of Nigeria’s Former President

A former Director of the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has sparked reactions after calling on Nigerians to forgive former President Muhammadu Buhari over the hardships faced during his administration.

According to the ex-NAFDAC boss, Buhari was not fully in control of his government, insisting that a powerful cabal was behind many of the unpopular decisions made during his tenure.

The director, whose name was not disclosed in the trending interview making rounds online, pleaded with Nigerians to direct their anger at those who “hijacked power from behind the scenes”, and not the former president himself.

“The man meant well, but the cabal did not allow him to succeed. Nigerians should forgive him and blame those who misled him,” the ex-official reportedly said.

This comes amid renewed debates over Buhari’s legacy, especially after fresh comments from political figures suggesting he had become a prisoner of powerful aides and inner circles.
