Weeks after veteran Nollywood actress Jumoke George emotionally revealed her years-long battle with homelessness and illness, a wave of compassion from Nigerians has turned her story around.

The actress, who gained renewed attention after a moving interview with her colleague Biola Bayo, opened up about spending six years sleeping in churches and dealing with a persistent illness—often without support from her colleagues in the film industry.

In a heartwarming update shared recently, Biola Bayo announced that Jumoke George has now received overwhelming support from kind-hearted Nigerians touched by her story. She was gifted a 4-bedroom duplex, an SUV, and a plot of land.

Sharing the good news with joyful images of Jumoke smiling in her new car and home, Biola wrote:

“Today, we present a four-bedroom duplex, SUV, and a plot of land to Jumoke George. Thanks to everyone who made this dream a reality.”

The gesture has been widely celebrated online, with many expressing admiration for the generosity of Nigerians and extending congratulations to the beloved actress.

As if that wasn’t enough, Jumoke George’s story took an even more hopeful turn with the return of her missing daughter, Adeola, who had been missing for four years.

Abike Dabiri-Erewa, Chairperson of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, confirmed via social media that Adeola had been trafficked to Mali but has now been safely repatriated to Nigeria. She was received by Nollywood actors Biola Bayo and Niyi Johnson.

“Adeola has finally reunited with her mother and family,” Dabiri-Erewa shared, assuring the public that the young woman is in good health and safe.

From sorrow to celebration, Jumoke George’s story is a powerful reminder of resilience, hope, and the impact of communal compassion.
