In celebration of International Men’s Day, Nigerian comedian Bovi shared a heartfelt message directed at men exploring gender transitions.
Posting on Instagram, Bovi emphasized that he does not “play” such men, remarking that true manhood is far from a one-day affair.
He took the opportunity to wish himself a happy International Men’s Day, reflecting on his own perseverance: paying rent and school fees, providing food and clothing, tackling challenges, pushing through personal hardships, smiling despite pain, and striving to succeed even amid distractions.
“Dear men who tried to switch their gender, I don’t blame you all.
“Happy International Men’s Day to me for paying rent, paying school fees, providing food and clothing, solving people’s problems like I don’t have, grinding when broken, smiling when hurt, breathing while dying, and winning despite distractions.
“Truly, to be a man is not a day’s job” he wrote.
