- Former Big Brother Naija housemate criticized the generation’s portrayal of being a lover boy or girl as a sin or bad thing on Instagram.

Reality TV star and former Big Brother Naija housemate, Tuoyo Ideh, has opened up about the stigma attached to being openly affectionate in today’s dating culture.
Sharing his thoughts via Instagram Stories, Tuoyo expressed disappointment over how society now views emotional expression. He wrote:
“This generation has made being called a lover boy or lover girl look like a sin or a bad thing.”
His comment has sparked conversations online, with many users agreeing that genuine emotional vulnerability is often ridiculed in modern relationships. Some social media users noted that expressing love or affection is now seen as being “too soft” or “desperate.”
Tuoyo’s post highlights a growing concern about how the current dating landscape discourages sincerity and openness in favor of emotional detachment.
In other news, Rymir Satterthwaite has officially withdrawn his federal lawsuit against rapper and business mogul Jay-Z, whom he has long alleged is his biological father.
Confirming the decision in a video posted on Instagram on July 27, the 30-year-old explained, “I did withdraw my case… there’s a lot going on behind closed doors. We got to step back and play chess, not checkers. I have not stopped my fight.”
Rymir has maintained for years that Jay-Z fathered him in the ’90s, but the hip-hop icon’s legal team has consistently denied the allegations.
In court filings, Jay-Z’s lawyers called Rymir’s claims “fabricated,” adding that they have been “addressed and rejected in multiple courts,” and described the latest lawsuit as part of “decades-long harassment.”
Jay-Z’s team also noted that the federal lawsuit was “not properly served,” asserting the music star was unaware of it until a month after it was filed in May.
Rymir, however, insists his case was never about child support but about seeking damages for emotional distress and reputational harm. Despite the withdrawal, he hinted that his legal battle against Jay-Z is far from over.
