- Pere Egbi, former housemate of Big Brother Naija, has expressed his condolences following the death of Nigeria’s former president, Muhammadu Buhari.

Former Big Brother Naija housemate Pere Egbi has shared his thoughts on the reported death of Nigeria’s former president, Muhammadu Buhari, who allegedly passed away in London at the age of 82.
Taking to his X (formerly Twitter) account, Pere described the news as a sad moment for Nigeria, expressing condolences to the late president’s family.
“This is a sad day for Nigeria and Nigerians. May God grant your family the fortitude to bear this great Loss. You led Nigeria to the best of your ability. While you weren’t a perfect man or leader (because no man is and no man will ever be), you gave your all to the country you”.
Pere also addressed those celebrating Buhari’s death online, urging them to reflect on the finality of death rather than rejoice in it. He emphasized that once someone passes, they become history, and their actions are left to be judged by God.
“One thing about death, when it comes, you are wiped clean off the earth. Nothing else will matter to those you left behind. Whether love or hate or whatever. You’re gone, you’re gone. That’s why it’s USELESS to celebrate and be happy over the death of anyone, regardless of how
They made you feel or how they lived their life. They are now NO MORE. They are now HISTORY. They have now entered into eternity and are now being questioned by THE MOST HIGH. So you that is wanting to celebrate the death of PMB, what exactly is your gain? Nothing!”.
His comments have sparked a wave of reactions on social media, with many users commending his maturity, while others continued to express differing opinions on Buhari’s legacy.
