In other news… A Nigerian lady has sparked conversation online after issuing a strong warning to women about men who pretend to be obsessed with them in relationships.
In a video shared on social media, the lady explained that what many women interpret as deep obsession or intense love is sometimes carefully staged emotional manipulation.
“Men can fake obsession. It a fake obsession for you, but it make you feel like if they obsessed with you and make you feel they won’t be able to live without you,” she said.
According to her, some men deliberately create an illusion of exclusivity, making a woman believe she is the only one in their life in order to secure emotional control and attachment.
She further noted that behaviours often mistaken for love such as jealousy, possessiveness, and constant monitoring are frequently performative rather than genuine.
“If he sees you with another boy, he’ll pretend to be jealous. Na lie, na fake fake jealousy. It not real jealousy, because he knows that if you no feel that jealousy, you go feel say, he no love you,” she explained.
The lady cautioned women not to confuse such actions with real commitment, stressing that fake obsession is often transactional and driven by physical attraction rather than care or respect.
“It not care about you. He’s just there for your body!” she added.
