Big Brother Naija Season 10 housemate, Dede, has revealed her struggle with social anxiety.
GistLover reports that Dede has been at the center of several controversies in the house, with some housemates labeling her a “snub” for being socially reserved and refusing to hug male housemates.
In a conversation with Koyin, she opened up about her experience.
Dede: “Do you have social anxiety?”
Koyin: “No, do you?”
Dede: “Yes, I do.”
Koyin then encouraged her not to worry about being seen as socially awkward, adding that “such is life.”
During her first diary session with Biggie, Dede also described herself as an introvert who “doesn’t like people.” She explained that she avoids hugging other housemates because she didn’t know them before the show.
In other news, Big Brother Naija 10/10 housemate Kola has confessed his feelings to fellow housemate, Dede.
During a private conversation, Kola admitted that Dede is his type. He, however, stated that he can’t say he likes her yet, even though he’s clearly attracted to her
He said, “You are actually my type, that’s why I wanted to get to know you, talk to you and everything. I’m not gonna sit down and act like I’m not attracted to you. Anyway I’m very much attracted to you, it’s Day 4 so I can’t say that I like you but what I would say for sure is that you are someone…”
Kola noticed Dede seemed distracted during their chat and accused her of being more than just friends with fellow housemate, Jason Jae. Dede, however, insisted her relationship with Jason is strictly platonic.
She then told Kola that she is in a serious relationship outside the house and is only available for platonic friendships in Biggie’s house.
“I’m in a relationship outside the house, very serious, really not open. So coming to an agreement and you say okay, cool I know you have a relationship outside and I respect that and I wanna try to be your friend, that’s cool. But if tomorrow you trying to be my friend and there’s feelings involved and I’m hearing all I need reciprocation, it would not happen. It will definitely not happen by God‘s Grace,” she said.
Dede further emphasized that she would never leave her boyfriend even if Kola developed deeper feelings while they are in the house.
