“Baba no sabi read” – Burna Boy asks Stormzy for help as he couldn’t read on the screen during an award in UK

Grammy Award Winner Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu better known by his stage name Burna Boy, appears to be an interesting guy as a recent video of him at an award presentation in the UK sends many into fits of laughter.

Burna Boy was asked to deliver the award for the best independent British designer winner on stage with Yasmine Finney in the stage video.

When Burna Boy first arrived on stage, he had trouble pronouncing every word on the TelePrompTer screen as he read it out while presenting the award.

Burna Boy manages to read some part where he said; “This award is for a designer here in the UK whose independent….” and others were dead end.

As a quick-witted Nigerian, Burna Boy immediately called British rapper Stormzy to ask for help at the UK award show.

He said; “Come Stormzy, come and help me abeg. come here, help me read it.”

While they were standing next to each other on stage, Stormzy couldn’t hesitate helping his friend Burna Boy read his part.

Stormzy reads; “This award is for a designer here in the UK whose independent business is a vanguard of creativity and innovation.”

And the other lady on stage Yasmine Finney completed the reading; “and the best independent British designer winner is Wales Bonner.”

Burna Boy, nevertheless, was giving the winner, Wales Bonner, the award as she entered the stage.

Wales Bonner responded by saying that she is a big fan of Burna Boy and that it means a lot to her to receive the award from the Grammy award winner.

She said; “Thank you very much, I’m such a big fan of Buran Boy, so this means a lot to receive this award from you, so thank you for that.”

She said in closing that she and her whole team at Wales Bonner are very grateful for this award.

@officialsinura: He made the award presentation more interesting.

@the_corporate_creative_: That’s embarrassing why does he always play dumb? Sure he’s an educated guy.

@kelvin_kertz: If it was David, Burna would have said it’s because of his father’s money.

@naijagrillqueen: Needing help doesn’t have a look but asking for it always looks beautiful.

@myperfectgift247suitstore2: I believe this was a deliberate act in order to bring on Stormzy on stage and making it fun.

@cheezupcoconuts: It’s clearly not a case of can’t pronounce vanguard. He could not see properly from that distance. Time to see your eye doctor.

@nwaoke_ocha: Baba no sabi how to read him pretend as if say him get eye problem.
