Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar had denied any involvement with Hushpuppi after a photo of the two emerged with Nigerian pointing fingers at Atiku for being an associate of Hushpuppi.
The APC’s deputy national publicity secretary, Yekini Nabena, has asked the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, to investigate Atiku’s alleged relationship with Hushpuppi after they were seen together in a photo.
Atiku’s camp has reacted and said the picture was a mere picture and nothing of that sort happened between the two. Paul Ibe, media aide to Atiku said: “For the avoidance of doubt, it was a mere photo-op and not at any meeting as being ingloriously speculated. We would advise the APC and Mr. Nabena to be very mindful of such senseless statements in the future especially as the case under reference is a subject of litigation in another country.”
