Former Vice President of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar has eulogized his beloved friend and brother, Chief Ayo Fasanmi.
The former vice president took to his official Twitter account to pay homage and hail him with accolades. He described him as a selfless man who had the restoration of democracy in the country at heart. He served as a senator in the Second Republic of Nigeria.
His tweet reads:
“Chief Ayo Fasanmi belonged in the elite club of the founding fathers of our country. He was also actively involved in the push for the restoration of democracy. He will be sorely missed. My thoughts & prayers are with his family. May God Almighty grant his soul eternal rest. -AA”
