Nigerian music sensation Asake has reaffirmed his commitment to Islam by sharing a video of himself performing Umrah in Saudi Arabia.

The rising star, known for hits like “Omo Ope,” posted a clip on his Instagram showing him offering prayers at Raudhatul Jannah, a highly revered site for Muslims.

Situated within Masjid an-Nabawi, Raudhatul Jannah often referred to as the “Garden of Paradise” is considered one of the most blessed places to pray. The prayer area lies between the resting place of Prophet Muhammad and his original pulpit and is easily recognized by its iconic green carpet.

The site extends from the Prophet’s former home, now beneath the mosque’s famous green dome, to his historic minbar, making it a significant destination for worshippers visiting Medina.

Accompanying the video, Asake shared a simple but heartfelt message: “Alhamdulillah 🙏🏽,” which translates to “praise be to God.”

The post quickly attracted attention, particularly following online speculation suggesting that the singer might convert to Christianity. While Asake did not comment on the rumors, fans viewed his pilgrimage and public prayers as a clear reaffirmation of his Islamic faith.

During Ramadan 2026, many Nigerians have traveled to Saudi Arabia for Umrah. Among those seen performing the pilgrimage are socialite Rahman Jago and influencer Tunde Perry, who are reportedly observing the spiritual journey alongside Asake.
