Army Chief Lagbaja Visits Sanwo-Olu in Lagos

The Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja, on Monday, paid a visit to Babajide Sanwo-Olu Governor of Lagos State at the State House, Marina.

According to Gawat, Lagbaja praised the governor for the numerous infrastructure improvements the State is currently undergoing and the enormous support the State Government has provided.

He continued by saying that the Army Chief was in the region to oversee other significant security operations as well as the removal of unexploded ordnance (UXO) from the scene of the 2002 Ikeja Cantonment Bomb explosion.

 “The COAS commends Governor Jide sanwo-olu on various infrastructural developments ongoing in the State and the tremendous support they have received from the State Government.

Sharing a video of the visit, Gawat wrote, “Governor of Lagos State, Mr Jide Sanwo-Olu, today received the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja on a Courtesy Visit today at the Lagos House, Marina.

“The Chief of Army Staff (COAS) is in Lagos to supervise the clearance of the unexplored ordinance (UXO) at the site of the 2002 Ikeja Cantonment Bomb explosion and other major security activities.

“The COAS commends Governor #jidesanwoolu on various infrastructural developments ongoing in the State and the tremendous support they have received from the State Government. #GreaterLagosRising.”
