In other news, Former Big Brother Naija housemate Uriel Oputa has issued a strong message to fans following an uncomfortable public encounter.
In a post shared via her Instagram stories, the reality TV star recounted how a fan approached her while she was shopping without makeup or any glam and insisted on taking a selfie.
To make matters worse, the fan then looked for someone else to take a proper photo of them together and proceeded to shake her hand, despite Uriel’s known preference for avoiding physical contact.
Clearly displeased, Uriel expressed her frustration, saying she genuinely believes some Nigerians may be “missing a few brain cells” when it comes to respecting boundaries.
She clarified that she has openly spoken about not liking to shake hands not out of pride or arrogance, but due to the things she has encountered over time.
“I genuinely believe some Nigerians are missing a few brain cells.
This morning _ early in the morning – I’m shopping, minding my business, about to pay, and you blocked me from taking a selfie.
Then, as if that’s not enough, you go and start looking for someone else to take a proper picture. My dear, I’m not dressed for a photoshoot – I came to buy things, not strike poses!
After all of that, you still stretch your hand to shake me?
After I’ve said Multiple times, I don’t shake hands.
Not because I’m proud of being rude, but because I’ve seen too much.
Please, is there a grain cell we need to resurrect?
Reboot? Recharge with Nepa light. Because I’m not understanding what’s going on.
Stop trying to shake my hands.
At this point, you guys are annoying”.
