- Two women on X shared a video about being deceived by J-Love, who promised them relationships and a future together, only to manipulate, exploit, and eventually dump them.
An American TikTok user identified as J-Love has come under fire after multiple Nigerian women accused him of orchestrating a romance scam that left them emotionally and financially devastated.
The allegations surfaced in a viral video shared on X (formerly Twitter), where two women shared detailed accounts of how J-Love manipulated them under the pretense of love and a future together. One of the women claimed she lost over $10,000 to the scam.
According to her, she ignored early red flags because of his American status. “There were lots of red flags from the beginning but again, he’s an American. I introduced him to a lot of people and he scammed everyone. He scammed me of about $10,000. I paid for his flight from America to Nigeria.”
She further alleged that J-Love had access to sensitive personal information, including her credit cards, account logins, and even her signature. She revealed that he took out loans with her listed as next of kin and added, “The first three emails I saw were child support cases.”
The woman also recounted how J-Love used emotional manipulation to gain control during the relationship. “When I asked questions, he said, ‘Who broke you?’ He made me feel like I was the problem,” she recalled.

The video has since gone viral, drawing shock and outrage from social media users, many of whom expressed support for the victims while sharing similar experiences with romance scams.
