“All Came Back Positive”- Man Tests Positive for “Every STD” After Houston Vacation

  • A viral online post shows a man claiming he tested positive for multiple STIs after a trip to Houston, prompting debate and concerns about misinformation.

A viral post circulating online shows a man claiming he tested positive for every sexually transmitted infection (STI) following a vacation in Houston, igniting reactions and debate on social media.

The screenshot accompanying the video appears to display a list of STI test results with labels such as Treponema pallidum (Syphilis), Hepatitis B Virus (HBV), Hepatitis C Virus (HCV) and Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV‑1 and HIV‑2) all marked as “positive.” In the clip, the man suggests this followed his trip to Houston.

The post has been widely shared, but local health officials have previously warned about misinformation related to sexual health data from Houston. The Houston Health Department, for example, investigated a misleading social media post that misused public health data and overstated sexually transmitted infection numbers, stressing the importance of protecting accurate health information.

Experts emphasise that comprehensive, accurate diagnostic results require proper clinical testing and should be interpreted by qualified health professionals. Public health authorities generally advise individuals concerned about STIs to seek medical testing and counselling at authorised clinics rather than rely on screenshots or unverified social media content.
