Education consultant Alex Onyia has sparked outrage online after sharing a photo showing the deplorable state of a male hostel at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN).

Posting on X, Onyia lamented the institution’s poor infrastructure despite reportedly receiving a recent ₦2.56 billion TETFund allocation.

He wrote:
“Here’s the recent TETFund allocation for UNN (₦2.56 billion). Look at what they achieved with it in Male hostel. It’s a shame!”

The viral post drew reactions from students, alumni, and education advocates, who called for an urgent probe into the use of the funds and immediate steps to improve hostel conditions at the university.
