Former First Lady Aisha Buhari has relocated from Daura, Katsina State, to Kaduna with her family, following the death of her husband, former President Muhammadu Buhari.
The move took place on Sunday, July 28, 2025. The family arrived at the Nigerian Air Force Base in Kaduna and was warmly received by top officials, including Kaduna State Deputy Governor Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe and House of Assembly Majority Leader Munira Tanimu.
They have now settled into the Ungwan Rimi GRA residence — the same home where the late president lived before his final trip to London during his time in office. Buhari had himself moved back to Kaduna from Daura earlier this year, choosing a quieter lifestyle until his passing.
The relocation marks a new chapter for the Buhari family as they continue to adjust to life after the former president’s death.
