- The singer highlighted the difficulties of maintaining relevance in the entertainment world.

Afrobeats superstar Davido has opened up about one of his biggest concerns as an entertainer, admitting that his greatest fear is not knowing the right time to leave the music industry.
The award-winning singer made the revelation during a video broadcast, where he spoke about the realities of fame and the challenges that come with staying relevant in the entertainment industry.
Davido explained that it is difficult watching celebrities who were once at the top of their careers gradually lose the spotlight. He said witnessing the rise and eventual decline of many public figures has made him think deeply about the importance of recognising the right moment to move on.
The music star also shared that, if he had the chance, he would establish a therapy centre specifically for celebrities struggling after their time in the limelight. According to him, adjusting to life after fame can be emotionally difficult, and many former stars need proper mental and emotional support.
His words…
“If there is one thing I could build, I would build a therapy centre for people who were popular and very successful people. Because it is crazy to be on top of the world and the next moment you are not.
Even in soccer, you win World Cup, Champions League and other trophies and people still don’t think it is enough. For instance, look at my good friend Ronaldo – after everything he’s done for football, they still laughed at him for exiting the World Cup.
“That is my greatest fear. I have worked so hard for me to come and spoil it with something. I pray to God every day to show me the right time to pack it up.”
