A new video allegedly recorded moments after Nigerian socialite and music promoter Sam Larry was involved in a fatal road accident has surfaced online, showing the immediate aftermath of the tragic incident.
The footage emerged days after reports confirmed that Sam Larry was involved in a crash along the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway in Lagos State. The accident claimed the life of his bouncer, identified as Adewale, while the socialite survived with injuries.
In the newly circulated video, Sam Larry is seen sitting by the roadside near the crash scene. He appeared visibly shaken but conscious as sympathisers and emergency responders gathered around following the accident.
The footage has since gone viral, with many social media users reacting to his condition in the immediate aftermath of the crash.
Following the accident, Sam Larry disclosed from his hospital bed that he was recovering and expected to be discharged soon.
He revealed that although he survived the crash, he was unable to walk and would be using a wheelchair for some time.
“I’m doing well. I’m expected to be discharged from the hospital soon. The only issue I’m facing right now is that I can’t walk, so I’ll be using a wheelchair, and God knows till when.
“But, I’m grateful to be alive. I’ve seen a lot of negative speculation surrounding this accident.
“The God I serve knows the truth; I am innocent.”
The latest video also comes after unverified claims circulated on social media alleging that the socialite had suffered severe spinal injuries and could face the amputation of his legs. Those claims have not been confirmed.
The footage also showed rescue workers and bystanders at the scene as efforts continued to recover the body of Adewale from the wreckage.
