“Go Apologise To Ycee” – GehGeh Tells Peller After Viral ‘Peller Culture’ Clash

  • GehGeh has urged Peller to apologise to Ycee following their online exchange over the rapper’s criticism of the so-called “Peller culture.”
  • While Peller defended content creators and their role in entertainment, GehGeh argued that the streamer should apologise and focus more on education and personal growth.

Popular financial commentator and social media personality GehGeh has advised streamer and content creator Peller to apologise to rapper Ycee following their recent online dispute.

The controversy started after Ycee criticised what he described as the “Peller culture” in Nigeria, arguing that society no longer celebrates academic excellence and that many young people now believe they can become successful by creating content that prioritises views and engagement over substance.

Reacting to the rapper’s comments, Peller dismissed the criticism and questioned why some musicians look down on content creators despite depending on them for publicity and promotion.

In his response, Peller argued that content creators have become a vital part of the entertainment industry and play a major role in helping musicians gain visibility and reach wider audiences.

According to him, many artistes rely on online creators whenever they need to promote songs or projects.

“Some OGs don’t deserve respect. This kind Ycee man, now see wetin elderly man dey talk. You people bring music promotion to the so-called olodo, na the same people una dey promote and beg with small money.”

He further stated:

“Na online una sabi give money. When una wan promote music, na still these same people una dey run come meet.”

However, GehGeh disagreed with Peller’s reaction and maintained that the streamer handled the situation poorly.

Addressing Peller directly, GehGeh said the exchange had exposed areas where education and personal development remain important despite financial success.

“Peller, I want you to go apologise to Ycee. You brought this public disgrace to yourself. You’ve made money, all you need right now isn’t marriage or love. You need education for you to go places as a streamer.”
