“They Want To Silence Me”- VeryDarkMan Speaks On Alleged EFCC Petition

  • Martins Vincent Otse, known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), responded to a petition filed with the EFCC.
  • The petition requests an investigation into VDM and his lawyer, Deji Adeyanju.
  • It was reportedly submitted by Blessing Agbomhere & Partners on June 11, 2026.

Popular social media commentator Martins Vincent Otse, better known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), has reacted to a petition reportedly filed with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), seeking an investigation into him and his legal representative, Deji Adeyanju.

The petition, which bears the date June 11, 2026, was allegedly submitted by Blessing Agbomhere & Partners. VDM later shared a copy of the document on his Instagram page on June 20.

According to the petition, the EFCC was urged to conduct a detailed forensic review of the financial activities of both VeryDarkMan and Adeyanju. The petitioner expressed concerns over the funding behind their public campaigns, advocacy efforts, and large-scale mobilization of supporters.

The document suggested that the source of financial support for such activities should be scrutinized, arguing that undisclosed funding from local or foreign interests could potentially affect national security, public stability, and democratic processes.

It further called on the anti-graft agency to examine their bank accounts, assets, business affiliations, and other financial records for possible evidence of money laundering, tax-related offences, or suspicious financial transactions.

However, the petition emphasized that the request for an investigation was aimed at ensuring transparency and strengthening public trust, rather than directly accusing the individuals of any wrongdoing.

Responding to the development, VeryDarkMan alleged that the petition was part of an attempt by the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to intimidate and silence him.

The activist claimed that the petition was authored by Blessing Agbomhere, whom he described as an APC-affiliated lawyer from Edo State and a fellow indigene of Etsako Local Government Area.

VDM also argued that the ruling party had become uncomfortable with the growing number of Nigerians participating in protests and demanding reforms across the country.

His words…

“THEY WANT TO STOP US FROM SPEAKING AGAINST THIS EVIL GOVERNMENT THAT HAVE FAILED TO PROTECT THE LIVES OF NIGERIANS,SO THEY USED THEIR PEOPLE TO WRITE PETITIONS)

They say APC wrote a petition to efcc to investigate myself and @adeyanjudeji according to the petition they are claiming we are fighting against bad governance and therefore we are being sponsored so they need to investigate US,they claim our protest is so organized and well organic, they are surprised by the turnout of Nigerians that wants change,SO FOR THAT REASON APC member who is also a lawyer wrote a petition…….. in a nutshell they want to claim we are sponsoring terrorism in other to disrupt APC GOVERNMENT 💀

The apc lawyer is called BLESSING AGBOMHERE FROM EDO STATE,my local government area ETSAKO.”
