Nigerian singer Speed Darlington has sparked massive reactions on social media after making a surprising announcement about wanting to become a father.
The controversial entertainer revealed that he is ready to offer ₦5 million to any woman willing to have a child for him, stressing that he has no plans of getting married.
According to him, his main desire is to have a child, not a wife. He also shared that he had made a similar offer of ₦3 million about two years ago but was unhappy with the kind of women he encountered at the time.
Speed Darlington further explained that he is interested in a woman between the ages of 20 and 24. He added that he would prefer someone from a less privileged background instead of a wealthy home.
The singer also noted that the woman would still have access to the child after giving birth.

“I was offering ₦3 million two years ago, but I didn’t like the age range of the people I met. Now, I’m willing to pay ₦5 million to any lady willing to have a child for me. I don’t want marriage, however, you can always come and see the child anytime you want. I prefer someone between the ages of 20–24, someone struggling financially, not from a rich family.”
