The Inspector-General of Police, @TunjiDisu, has emphasized the need for accountability within the Nigeria Police Force, directing all officers to wear visible name tags while on duty.
According to him, proper identification is key to building public trust, adding that he personally adheres to the same standard.
“All police officers should have their name tags on them at all times while on duty, even me as the IGP, I have my name tag on me,” he said.
Following his statement, Nigerians took to social media to share mixed reactions, with some applauding the directive while others questioned its practicality.
