I find myself defending VDM Easter 2024, I was in U.S when Deji Adeyanju called me to help VDM, he had been charged for Cybercrime, I called the DIG who sent a commissional to release VDM from prison on Sunday,” he said.

Sowore clarified that his frustration is not directed at VDM but at the actions of law enforcement authorities, whom he accused of mishandling the situation.

“I am not concerned with VDM I am angry at police who knew the right thing and choose to exact punishment for a case that wouldn’t go anywhere, it was well planned towards Easter because judges were going on break to resume on 13th April,” he added.

His comments have reignited discussions around the role of the Nigeria Police Force and the handling of cybercrime-related cases, particularly those involving public figures.
