Nigerian content creator and live streamer Hamzat Habeeb Adelaja, popularly called Peller, has reacted critically to media personality Roby Ekpo over his emotional breakdown following the collapse of his long-term marriage.

Roby Ekpo recently appeared on the Honest Bunch podcast, where he became visibly emotional while discussing the end of his 11-year union with Mayowa Lambe. During the interview, he alleged that the relationship was marked by infidelity, dishonesty, and financial difficulties, adding that his estranged partner had quietly remarried in the United States.

Responding in a video that has since gone viral, Peller replayed clips from the interview while expressing disbelief at Ekpo’s reaction. He questioned why a man in his 40s would publicly cry over a failed relationship, suggesting that such displays of emotion were unnecessary.

“How can you be crying over a woman in 2026?”

He further claimed that he has endured difficult experiences in his own relationships and implied that, if he were to share his story, Ekpo might feel even more emotional. Peller also insisted that he would never allow himself to cry over a romantic relationship again, describing such a reaction as unwarranted.

“I can never cry over love or any woman again unless I am a mumu or dodoyo.”
